This key role focuses on intercultural team budgets including the setting, maintenance and reporting of team member budgets and finances as well as analysis of acquittal reports against budgets. The role also includes training of our team treasurers in effective budgeting and reporting. The role requires a strong willingness to learn and appreciation of intercultural work.
Defined duties
- Timely and effective setting, management a review of intercultural budgets
- Liaise closely with Finance team members
- Effective engagement with and training of the intercultural teams on all budget related matters
- Addressing intercultural team member requests pertaining to budgets and funds management and questions in a timely and pastoral manner
- Modelling a commitment to solution oriented, continuous improvement and innovation
- Assisting the intercultural team through the transition to bring about positive change
- Liaising with the governance and risk team to ensure risk management processes are adhered to in relation to intercultural team member budgets
- Liaise closely with the governance & risk team to assist with the development of policies and processes
- Effective reporting to the Director of Governance & Central Services, Leadership Team and Finance & Risk Committee
- Active participation in team activities

Key Selection Criteria
- Alignment with our vision, mission, and values
- A passionate team and team player
- CA/CPA qualified or equivalent Finance, Accounting degree
- Strong risk mindset
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Proficient use of the Microsoft suite (advanced skills in excel)
- Experience with using Xero Accounting Software
