Milard and Joyce were both born in Lebanon before their families moved to Australia. In 2002, they returned to Lebanon to serve long-term. While a significant proportion of the population identifies as Christian, many people are disillusioned with the traditional church and desire a more personal relationship with Jesus.
“Nine years ago we planted our church. It is made up of people who have come to saving faith in Christ from mainly the Catholic and Orthodox backgrounds. Many of them are professionals who have had life transforming encounters with Jesus. It has taken courage for them to join our faith community from their traditional backgrounds.
Milard and Joyce began their ministry by building relationships and leading small groups which have formed the foundation for the thriving church they now lead. Milard is a natural evangelist and the church is activily reaching out to their community.
New people are being invited in to explore Jesus’ message and many are choosing to follow Him and be baptised.
We give thanks for the way the faith community sees themselves as a family under Christ and want others to join them. Sadly the economic and political challenges Lebanon faces as a country have led to 70 people from our church relocating overseas. Pray with us for this country and its people.” - Milard
