As Australians we celebrate that the nations have come to us. At Baptist Mission Australia, we believe that God has called us to be open to both new opportunities to share the good news of Jesus and also discover new partners from diverse backgrounds to work alongside us in mission.
Coming alongside the local Baptist movements, we have been discerning the call of God to identify strategic opportunities where we can apply what we have learnt in intercultural settings to local mission. In this process, God has led us to people who are making a unique contribution and a new team has been birthed.
S and F who grew up in South West Asia before migrating to Australia have a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus contextually in their neighbourhood, as well as through visits to their home country. Daniel was born in Hong Kong before migrating to Australia. Daniel has a passion for holistic ministry, serving the spiritual, physical and educational needs of indigenous families and individuals, in rural and urban environments.
Paul and Naomi who served in Central Asia are now coming alongside local Australian Baptist churches helping them in the journey of sharing the good news of Jesus with people of diverse ethnic backgrounds in their local community. They long that local churches to reflect the diversity of their local community.
God is indeed doing a new thing among us.
- Pray that God would help us form as a team.
- Pray that God would help each one in their diverse ministries.
- Pray for us to be open and discerning to new ministry opportunities as they emerge.
