The Ethnic Thai of Thailand
Living among the Ethnic Thai people
“The Ethnic Thai have a strong commitment to both community and culture. This means that turning away from their Buddhist beliefs and accepting Jesus could be seen as rejecting both.
Over the years we have seen communities of faith develop as Thai believers come together to discern how they can be followers of Jesus and remain connected. This hasn’t been without its challenges, and we ask you to continue to pray for these faith communities.
As a team, we use platforms such as teaching English to develop a sense of belonging within our local communities. As relationships develop and the Gospel is shared, we are starting to see the budding of new faith communities.” - Liz
Pray with the Team
We know there is one true God who hears our prayers. We want to invite you to pray with us during the Buddhist Lent period (July - October) for the Ethnic Thai people. The Prayer Guide to Thailand has been produced by the team to help you pray for the Ethnic Thai people and the Baptist Mission Australia Ethnic Thai Team.
The prayer guide is available in two PDF formats:
Thank you for your prayers and for journeying with the ministry in Thailand during this period.
