As part of the Australian Baptist movement, Baptist Mission Australia has been sending people for 140 years. Our heart is to serve among people groups where the Gospel is yet to take root and journey with communities as they meet and follow Jesus in their own distinctive ways. This means that throughout the decades, our focus ministry locations have shifted as faith communities grow and we seek new communities who need to hear a message of hope.

We celebrate the fruit of decades of Gospel sharing and discipleship among these communities and praise God for the movements of faith that are being led by local people. In varying levels of involvement, we continue to partner with these faith communities, working towards increasing self-sustainability. These faith communities remain special to us and likewise, Australian Baptists are special to them.

“As we emerge from the pandemic season, through which travel and partnership opportunities have been disrupted, we will be reaching out again during 2022 to our brothers and sisters in faith communities in Zimbabwe, Zambia, India, Bangladesh, Papua and Papua New Guinea. Listening to their needs, we are open to new partnership opportunities to support their growth and equip them for a missional posture to do God’s work alongside us.

Please join us in prayerful discernment as we enter a new season of partnership!”
