Transformational Training

Contextual mission training in India... Will you partner with us?

Our mission community has a rich partnership with the Rabha Baptist Convention. It dates back almost 50 years. Many people have come to know Jesus. And God has established many churches in the Assam region. It has been a wonderful Gospel partnership!

I’m excited that our Rabha brothers and sisters in Christ are asking us to come alongside them, once again. But in a new way. I’m encouraged by the Rabha leadership’s heart to grow in their practicing of contextual mission. You can see their genuine heart to live as good neighbours.

We’re thankful to God for what our teams have learnt over many years. Through living alongside people of other religious traditions. We celebrate the many people who have come to know Jesus. And the vibrant faith communities following Jesus in their own distinctive ways.
This has only been possible thanks to people like you, and the sacrifices you made to partner in that work.

Yes, we have learnt many lessons. We have made mistakes. We have seen God move in miraculous ways. Your intercultural team members have some wonderful stories to share.

So with a humble heart and anticipation, we step into this new partnership opportunity. Partnering with our Rabha brothers and sisters in Christ. Baptist Mission Australia will lead the first training initiative in Assam next month. With more training and mentoring planned for 2023.

I would like to ask all our valued supporters to be praying for this new partnership chapter in India. And you may like to consider a special gift in addition to your normal partnership support to help us launch this new collaborative initiative.

Can you picture this with me?

Through this training, Assam believers will come alongside others and share the hope of Jesus and new disciples will be birthed. Some of these new believers will share the hope of Jesus by word and deed with their friends in their new location. Some will move back to their home countries. Some will move elsewhere. This migration will multiply disciples in many places!

In faith, I see this is very much a 'for such a time as this' opportunity. And you can play a part in it - the mission of God in the hands of ordinary people. Please join in me praying for the first training program in October.

You can find out more about financial support for the project here >>

In coming updates I look forward to sharing with you about some other exciting partnership initiatives being developed across the world and in Australia.

Our Strategic Roadmap envisages a new phase of partnership growth and we see God at work ahead of us, opening exciting doors for new collaborative mission opportunities.

Thank you for journeying with us in these new partnerships.

Grace and peace
